In October 2018 NCG, in consortium with Management Development Foundation (MDF) Asia, was contracted by Danish Embassy in Bangladesh to measure and report results under the Thematic Programme on Governance and Rights of Danida’s on-going Bangladesh County Programme (2016-2021). The Governance and Rights Thematic Programme and its diversity of engagements and modalities is complex, covering legal aid, medico-socio-psychological services to victims and survivors of violence, transparency and accountability, social dialogue and dispute resolution, access to- and reclaiming land and water rights, and enhanced local governance.

The Bangladesh Country Programme is now in its third year; in order to ensure that results achieved under the Thematic Programme of Governance and Rights are documented and reported at output and outcome level for each engagement, the embassy has contracted this service.

The team of experts include governance & CSO expert Frank Runchel (team leader), Theresia K. Boesen, Human Rights expert, Hanne Tornager, communication expert, and Soma Chowdury, Access to Justice and Rule of Law, Zakia Hassan, Gender Equality, as well as Sakhawat Nuruddin, M&E and Training expert. The assignment is expected to run until the end of June 2021.
