MSI Reproductive Choices is a leading organisation in Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), which has received support from Denmark since 2010. Since the launch of Strategy for Denmark’s support to Marie Stopes International 2018-2022, MSI has received 25 million DKK as annual core contribution, which is critical for MSI’s ability to advocate for and provide safe abortions, when possible, within the national legal framework.

The focus of this review will be on MSI’s capacity and performance in SRHR, as well as on its strategic approach, its approach to execution and monitoring, and its ability to integrate cross-cutting issues (i.e., HRBA, governance, gender equality, youth in SRHR). In the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and MSI is contemplated that the review will also focus on a performance audit, emphasized in financial management and programme administration capacity. Thus, the review will assess the performance of MSI in delivering results and its management capacity, cost efficiency and effectiveness.

The review report will provide recommendations and key findings, which will feed into MFA’s future engagement with MSI and the on-going dialogue between the two organisations.
