Acting for Life requests technical and methodological support (backstopping) from an agropastoral expert to feed its reflexion on micro insurance issues in the context of mobile livestock systems, in the context of the implementation of the Project of Building Resilience in Household Economy thanks to livestock productivity in Mauritania (PRREF-Mauritanie), linked with the implementation of its BRACED Programme.
Analysis and reflexion on the feasibility of implementing index-based insurance to mobile livestock systems in the context of implementation of the EU/DFID support to building resilience into household economies through improved livestock productivity - Projet de Renforcement de la Résilience de l’Economie Familiale grâce à la productivité de l’élevage dans le sud et l’est de la Mauritanie (PRREF-Mauritanie Programme). The feasibility study provides a strategic reflexion and an analysis of the potential scenarios for developing systems of micro-insurance and applying these to livestock within a cross-border and regional context.
