Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection Phase II (SUDEP II)
The final evaluation of SUDEPII concerns 11 days' work in Mali, of which 6 days in the field: 6 villages and 3 Commune structures, as well as other partners and the administration. It also required a study of the NGO Mali Folkecenter.
The SUDEP project aims at environmental protection in 3 Communes South of Bamako. It is therefore aimed at reinforcing decentralisation. This is to be achieved through stronger village and Commune institutions, through development planning and small projects.
Over 80 small projects have been funded and a dozen projects have been evaluated. The project is expected to impact at higher levels (Cercle) and the evaluation analysed both relevance and sustainable impacts at that level.
