Ayla Olesen Yurtaslan
PartnerAyla holds an interdisciplinary M.Sc. degree in Global Development, and has broad experience carrying out consultancies covering the full project cycle from formulations and appraisals to reviews and evaluations. Her core area of expertise is monitoring and evaluation, and she has a strong track-record of undertaking complex, utilisation and learning-focused strategic and programme evaluations; theory-based evaluations; and meta-evaluations. She has worked as a consultant and evaluator for a wide range of development and humanitarian actors, ranging from bilateral donors such Danida, Sida, and Global Affairs Canada, and SDC, to the World Bank and large INGOs, such as Danish Refugee Council, ActionAid, Plan and International Media Support.
Ayla is well-versed in human rights-based programming, and has experience with the thematic areas of governance, fragility and state-building; forced displacement and protection; civil society support and localisation of aid; as well as gender and youth-targeted programming. In addition, she has solid experience with qualitative and mixed methods research and evaluation design, data collection, and analysis.
Finally, Ayla has solid international experience, and has lived in several countries in South Asia and East Africa.
