Course: The legislation behind public enterprise – extended administrative law
Juraen bag offentlig virksomhed – udvidet forvaltningsret
NCG har i maj og juni 2016 holdt kursus hos Energinet.dk i Fredericia.
Kurset består af 4 dele:
- Der omfatter en introduktion for ledere og sagsbehandlere i en offentlig virksomhed til offentligretlige regler samt til principper for retlig regulering af det danske samfund.
- Hvor hovedvægten er lagt på grundlæggende regler i forvaltningsloven, offentlighedsloven og persondataloven samt på et kendskab til særlige normer for ansatte i det offentlige.
Finn Kittelmann, cand. jur. og NCG partner, er underviser og kursusansvarlig.
Energinet.dk er en selvstændig, offentlig virksomhed, der ejer og driver de danske el- og gastransmissionsnet – med forsyningssikkerhed som kerneydelse.
The legislation behind public enterprise – extended administrative law
A course/supplementary training were carried out in May and June 2016 for Energinet.dk in their Head Office, Fredericia, Denmark by Finn Kittelmann, Lawyer and Partner, who also developed this course.
Course focus was on:
- An introduction for managers and case administrators in a public enterprise to rules of public law and principles for legal regulation of the Danish Society.
- Especially with emphasis on fundamental rules in the Public Administration Act, the Access to Public Administration Files Act and the Act of Processing Personal Data and on knowledge about special principles for public servants behaviour.
Energinet.dk is an independent, public enterprise that owns the Danish electricity and gas transmission system. The main task is to maintain the overall short-term and long-term security of electricity and gas supply.
NCG Awarded new Framework Agreement: Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) Roster of Capacity Development Service Providers
NCG has been awarded the Framework agreement: Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) Roster of Capacity Development Service Providers.
The purpose of the Framework is to provide expert capacity development support services to Danida and Danida partners through specific contracts with DFC.
The 4 thematic areas within the Framework agreement is:
I. Strategic Planning for Capacity Development
II. Managing for Results in Capacity Development
III. Pioneering Capacity Development Solutions
IV. Learning and Adaptation in Capacity Development
The capacity development solutions in support of Danida partners will be within the following areas of:
- Human Rights, Democracy and Governance
- Green growth
- Stability and Protection
- Social Progress
- Managing for Development
The services will cover all stages of the capacity development process - from the planning of capacity development initiatives, the implementation & management to the evaluation of and continued learning.
Danish Embassies and Partners.
The Framework will run for the next four years starting in 2016.

New Managing Director in Nordic Consulting Group
Nordic Consulting Group is very pleased to introduce Marie-Louise Appelquist as the new Managing Director. From 1st April 2016 she has taken over from Marina Buch Kristensen who has decided to concentrate on her role as a Partner and Senior Consultant within the fields of Governance and Anti-Corruption.
Ms. Appelquist holds a Master of Science in International Development & Public Administration from Roskilde University, Denmark. She has been partner in NCG since 2007 and is specialized in evaluations, sustainability for business, private sector development and broader governance issues mainly in an African context. In 2010-2011 she was posted in Kenya working for the Democratic Governance Unit of UNDP. Marie-Louise will continue to undertake consultancies for international donors and NGOs.
NCG is expanding its expertise base
Marie-Louise Appelquist is currently playing a key role in establishing NCG´s growing position in the fields of Corporate Social Responsibility and the Human Rights Based Approach. NCG is expanding its network of in-house experts with expertise in sustainability, women empowerment, business and private sector development and therefore reinforce our commitment to advance human rights and business in light of the UNGP on Business and Human Rights from 2011 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
NCG Consortium Team on Mission to build M&E System in Ghana's Judicial Service
Since May, a team consisting of consultants from the Inter-Regional Bridge Group (IBG) and Nordic Consulting Group has pulled together their expertise in order to develop an M&E system for Ghana's Judicial Service that will enable effective tracking and reporting of progress.
Based on careful identification of court and tribunal staff's existing skills, a new electronic M&E system is now being built to suit the needs of the Judiciary Service. Capacity building of more than 350 staff members will follow the programming phase.
The four months consultancy takes place in Accra and is financed by Danida through the Royal Danish Embassy in Ghana.
