Bodil specialises in quantitative and qualitative research design, data collection, and analysis. She has more than ten years of experience carrying out baseline and end line studies, surveys, assessments, and evaluations, both as a team leader and as a team member, and across all NCG’s core areas. Particular fields of expertise include research on livelihoods, micro-finances, post conflict stabilisation and recovery, governance, children’s health and education, disadvantaged and marginalised populations, sexual and reproductive health, child and juvenile rights, human trafficking, sexual and gender based violence, women’s right and empowerment, civil society participation, and climate change impact and adaptation.

Bodil holds a BA in Social Anthropology and Ethnography, an MA in Social Anthropology, and a PhD in Anthropology, and recently completed a baseline and final evaluation of a livelihood and education programme spanning six African countries for which she drew on her experience in managing large, complex studies. Recent assignments also include a final evaluation of a project aimed at preventing sexual violence again children with disabilities, and she is currently working on a baseline study of trafficking of children in the Ghanaian fishing sector. She furthermore specialises in evaluation and research assignments where outputs are intended for communication to a broad audience.
