In April 2017, NCG did in collaboration with MS/Action Aid carry out the two-week training course “Human Rights Based Approach to Development Programming” on behalf of Danida Fellowship Centre.

The overall aim was to provide participants with a contemporary understanding of the linkage between human rights and (human) development and the ability to integrate and apply key principles of a Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) in their own practice within their organisations.

By applying the principles and tools related to the HRBA and through own action planning, participants did acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills with regard to HRBA. Moreover did they gain professional competences to apply HRBA to development planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

18 people representing 8 different developing countries participated in the course in Copenhagen from 27 March to 7 April 2017
