NCG has recently been assigned to evaluate the Danish-Bolivian development cooperation dating back to the 1970s. The evaluation process will start up in early 2017.

Bolivia has been a priority country for Danish development aid since 1994 and around 120-150 million DKK per year has been provided as Danish aid to Bolivia. Since Danish-Bolivian development cooperation is coming to an end it has been agreed to carry out a thorough evaluation of the results and highlights of cooperation over the past 20 years.

The objectives of the evaluation which will be carried out by NCG are the following:

• to document the changes and results achieved through cooperation from 1997 to 2016

• to assess the specific value added of the Danish approach to supporting sustainable, rights-based development

• to provide lessons learned that are relevant with respect to promoting sustainable, rights-based development

All development cooperation activities carried out between 1997 and 2016 will be examined through the evaluation, with a focus on the portfolio since 2002.

The team carrying out the evaluation comprises six team members including NCG Associate Partner Louise Scheibel Smed
 and Partner Per Kirkemann
