NCG has recently been assigned by Danida to conduct an review/assessment of the programmes of the Danish Institute for Parties and Democracy (DIPD) in Tanzania and Malawi.

The overall objective of the review is to assess the performance of the DIPD with regards to the current grant agreement (2014-17). The review will also assess the nature and effect of potential synergies with other relevant Danish development cooperation and the effectiveness and efficiency of the support instruments of DIPD.

The objective of the review is to assess the performance of the DIPD with regards to the current grant agreement, in particular results achieved during the past three years. The review will also assess the nature and effect of synergies with relevant Danish development cooperation and the effectiveness and efficiency of the support modalities and instruments of the DIPD.

The review will among other issues assess DIPD's strategic approaches, the outcomes of DIPD’s engagements, the application of the Human Rights-Based Approach, the effect of the capacity development engagements, approaches to partnerships and relationships with other actors and democracy efforts at country level and DIPD's organisational, managerial and financial capacity.
